Airport and Port Transfers in Rabat

Rabat-Sale (RBA) is a small airport eight miles from the centre with limited international traffic, so most American visitors arrive through Casablanca's Mohammed V and transfer an hour up the coast. We run that as a fixed-price leg, tracking the inbound flight.

High-speed service also calls at Rabat-Agdal and Rabat-Ville, which puts Tangier ninety minutes out and Casablanca forty. A common approach is rail between cities with a private car for the days inside each, and we meet trains on exactly the same terms as flights.

Two hours east to Meknes and its imperial gates plus the Roman mosaics at Volubilis, back the same evening. A rewarding day, and a good use of a spare one between meetings.

Transfer - Rabat to Fes, Tangier or Marrakech

Fes lies two and a half hours off, Tangier three, Marrakech four. Each runs as a fixed-price one-way leg with stops built in wherever you like.

Driving and Getting Around Rabat

No major Moroccan city drives more easily than Rabat - wide boulevards, a functioning tram network, traffic that behaves itself. The pressure points are the Bou Regreg bridges at rush hour and the streets right below the kasbah, which narrow fast.

Small and walkable, the medina never overwhelms the way those in Fes or Marrakech do. Cars reach its edge on Boulevard Hassan II; above that the kasbah is pedestrian, a short climb from where you are set down.

For official visitors, the embassy quarter in Souissi is a genuine drive from the hotels in Agdal and the centre - fifteen to twenty-five minutes depending on the hour. A driver who waits between appointments is worth more here than the vehicle itself.
