Marrakech is the busiest departure point in Morocco. Nearly every desert tour, Atlas Mountain excursion and coastal transfer leaves from here, which is exactly why so many visitors choose a private driver instead of a self-drive rental. The medina is a maze of one-way lanes where cars simply cannot go, the ring road around the ramparts is permanently busy, and parking near Jemaa el-Fna is a daily negotiation. With a driver, none of that is your problem.
Our Marrakech fleet covers everything from a single sedan for airport runs up to a 50-seat coach for conference groups staying in the Hivernage hotels. The most requested vehicle by far is a 4x4 SUV, because the two signature trips out of Marrakech - the Ourika Valley and the Tizi n Tichka road to Ait Ben Haddou - both involve mountain switchbacks where a comfortable, high-clearance car makes a real difference.
Every booking is private. The vehicle, the driver and the schedule belong to your group alone, so you can leave at 5am for the desert, stop for photographs at the Kik Plateau, or spend an extra hour at an argan cooperative without asking anyone. Prices are agreed before departure and include fuel, tolls and the driver, so there is nothing to settle at the end of the day.
Why hire a driver here
- The medina is closed to cars - a driver drops you at the nearest gate (Bab Doukkala, Bab Agnaou or Bab Laksour)
- The Tizi n Tichka pass to Ouarzazate has 30 km of switchbacks and needs an experienced hand
- Riad addresses rarely work on GPS apps - our drivers know the derb entrances
- No parking hunt in Gueliz, Hivernage or around Jemaa el-Fna
- Speed-camera zones on the Agadir and Casablanca roads are heavily enforced
Included in every booking
- Fuel, road tolls and driver fees for the agreed route
- Pick-up at Menara Airport, your riad, hotel or the train station
- English, French, Spanish or Arabic-speaking drivers on request
- Bottled water and phone charging on board
- Child seats and extra luggage space on request, at no extra cost
